How to print question sets from Blooket saved me when the WiFi died five minutes before class started.
I had 30 students staring at me with zero internet access.
Printed the question set in 90 seconds and ran a paper-based quiz instead.
Crisis averted.
Why Print Digital Content
You might think, “Isn’t Blooket supposed to be digital?”
Yeah, but real life happens:
- Internet outages (Murphy’s Law of teaching)
- Device shortages (not enough laptops for everyone)
- Test accommodations (some students need paper versions)
- Homework packets (parents request printed materials)
- Study guides (students want physical review sheets)
I print sets at least twice a month for various reasons.
Finding the Print Option
Open the question set you want to print.
Look for the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
Click it and select “Print” or “Export to PDF.”
Some Blooket versions put a printer icon right on the page.
Print Preview Screen
Before you commit to printing, Blooket shows you a preview.
You’ll see how questions will appear on paper:
Question text at the top.
Four answer choices below (A, B, C, D).
Correct answer marked if you choose that option.
Choosing Print Settings
Blooket gives you options:
- Include answer key (yes or no)
- Number of copies
- Question format (one per page or multiple per page)
I usually print student versions without the answer key, then print one copy with answers for myself.
Print Format Layouts
You can typically choose:
One question per page – great for tests with lots of whitespace.
Multiple questions per page – better for quizzes or study guides (saves paper).
Compact format – fits more content, harder to read.
I use multiple questions per page for homework, one per page for formal assessments.
Including Answer Key
For student copies: uncheck “Include Answer Key.”
For teacher copies: check “Include Answer Key.”
The answer key shows the correct answer highlighted or marked.
Super helpful when grading quickly.
Printing Images
If your questions include images, they print automatically.
But watch out—images sometimes look weird on paper if they were optimized for screens.
Preview carefully before printing 30 copies.
I once printed a set where all the diagrams came out tiny and unusable. Had to reprint everything.
Saving as PDF First
Smart move: save as PDF before printing.
Click “Save as PDF” instead of sending directly to the printer.
Now you can:
- Email the PDF to absent students
- Upload to your LMS (Canvas, Google Classroom)
- Archive for next year
- Print later when you have time
I keep a folder of PDFs for every unit.
Editing Before Printing
Can’t edit the print version directly in Blooket.
If you need changes:
Go back to the question set editor.
Make your edits.
Then return to print preview.
Don’t waste paper and ink on sets that need revision.
Print Quality Considerations
Black and white vs. color matters:
Most question sets print fine in black and white.
Science diagrams or maps might need color for clarity.
I print 99% in black and white to save money. Color is reserved for special occasions.
Using Printed Sets in Class
Paper versions work great for:
- Traditional quizzes when tech fails
- Exit tickets (quick formative assessments)
- Partner work (students discuss answers together)
- Test prep (students annotate questions)
I laminate frequently-used printed sets and reuse them with dry erase markers.
Combining Digital and Print
My hybrid approach:
Play the digital Blooket game for engagement.
Print the same set as homework for reinforcement.
Students see the content twice in different formats.
Organizing Printed Materials
Label everything with:
- Unit number
- Topic
- Date created
Store in binders or file folders by subject.
Nothing worse than mystery papers floating around your desk.
Copyright and Sharing Prints
If you printed a public set from another teacher, respect their work.
Don’t mass-produce and sell printed versions.
Sharing within your school for educational use? Totally fine.
Printing Limitations
Some question types don’t print well:
- Timed questions (timing doesn’t translate to paper)
- Interactive elements (obviously can’t interact with paper)
Stick to straightforward multiple-choice for best print results.
FAQ
Can I print just specific questions from a set?
Not directly. You’d need to copy specific questions to a new set, then print that.
Does printing cost money on Blooket?
No, the print feature is free. You just pay for your own paper and ink.
Can I print in landscape orientation?
Usually yes, adjust this in your browser’s print settings, not in Blooket.
Will printed sets include question explanations?
Only if you added explanations to your questions—they’ll appear below each question.
